Help direct AGA’s patient education program

Patient education medical adviser


The AGA patient education medical adviser will support the growth of the AGA GI Patient Center and other new patient education initiatives, including the development of new products, tools and education.


As the overall voice for the AGA Patient Education Initiative, the patient adviser will review and finalize all patient education content in a timely matter and be available for media requests, as needed. Monthly teleconferences with the patient education communications team, in addition to one in-person meeting a year to finalize a tactical plan for the patient education program, will be required.


The AGA patient education medical adviser should be a U.S. member in good standing who has significant experience in clinical practice, where they work directly with patients. He or she should also have a distinct passion for improving patient care and patient communications, including health literacy and cultural appropriateness. In addition to working with AGA staff, the adviser will work with medical advisers chosen to work on distinct campaigns, programs or topics within the patient education initiative.




Term of three years with the final year overlapping with previous medical adviser.
