Unique Patient Populations with GI Diseases Experiencing Barriers to Care
Sunday, May 3, 4 to 5 p.m.
McCormick Place, Room S100c
This year’s session, moderated by Matthew Walsh, MD, and Aline Charabaty, MD, will focus on patients with gastrointestinal diseases that are marginalized, or find specific challenges due to their disease and/or minority population in which they belong. By attending, you will:
- Challenge your understanding of LGBT health concerns.
- Realize the cultural barriers to health care and ways to overcome them.
- Implement ways to improve your communication with diverse patient populations in everyday patient care.
The session and reception are included in the cost of DDW registration. Save at least $85 until March 18. Member trainees, students and medical residents receive complimentary registration during the early bird period.
