AGA member Simon Mathews, MD, appointed to PCORI’s patient engagement panel

AGA congratulates Dr. Mathews and is pleased that the needs and concerns of digestive disease patients will have a strong voice in PCORI.

AGA member Simon Mathews, MD, who is a member of the AGA Government Affairs Committee and the Congressional Advocates Program, was named to the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI) Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement. PCORI’s Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement is designed to help guide PCORI’s work by ensuring the highest patient engagement standards and a culture of patient-centeredness in all aspects of their work.

 

Dr. Mathews is an assistant professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins where he is the assistant director at the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
