As we enter the third year of the COVID pandemic, the role of women as caregivers, leaders, innovators and frontline workers has been invaluable and understated. From all fronts — work, home, government and academia — the inimitable strength and spirit of women has provided guidance, support and insight through an unparalleled period in human health and history.
This year’s Women’s History Month is titled “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,” a recognition of the myriad ways in which women worldwide have provided hope and healing. In honor of this theme, the AGA Women’s Committee has assembled a collection of key articles and perspectives related to women in gastroenterology. The collection was selected to showcase the voices of female authors, including leaders in education and training, patient care, endoscopy, advocacy and research. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate the diverse collection which has been curated.
