Last week, CMS finalized the final 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS)/Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) rules.

The Medicare Physician Fee Schedule includes a 3.37% cut to Medicare physician reimbursement.

What does this mean for GI?

This cut is based on a physician conversion factor of $32.74 (in 2023 the rate is $33.89). Medicare payments already fail to keep up with the increasing cost of delivering healthcare. More cuts only exacerbate that problem.

The cuts will negatively impact any GI who treats a Medicare patient.

What can you do?

We need lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to take action and prevent these dangerous cuts. Use your voice as an expert to speak up on behalf of GI!

Tell Congress why Medicare payment cuts are unsustainable and adversely affect the high quality care you provide to your GI patients.
