Today, the House passed the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act (H.R. 3173). This will reform prior authorization and streamline the process in Medicare Advantage plans.

It is a huge victory for patients!

This win for patient care has long been in the making – advocating for prior authorization reform has been our top priority and this shows the difference it makes to advocate on behalf of gastroenterology. This will save lives.

We could not have done it without YOUR voice. Thank you to AGA members and the GI community for raising your voices about this important issue!

What’s next?

The bill will be sent to the Senate. AGA will continue to advocate on behalf of AGA members to reduce prior authorization burdens on physicians and prevent delays in patient care.
