Enter the dynamic and unfolding world of GI organoids. Your voyage of discovery on how organoid cell cultures, bioengineering and stem cell technologies are promoting scientific discovery and therapeutic advances begins Oct. 7-8 at the 2022 James W. Freston Single Topic Conference: Gastrointestinal Organoids and Engineered Organ Systems in Washington, D.C.

The 2022 Freston Conference brings together experts in GI organ cell and developmental biology and disease pathophysiology, bioengineers and tissue-chip developers to discuss innovative human cell and tissue culture platforms. You will:

  • Recognize how novel human culture systems can be exploited to study cell biology, organ development, and disease pathophysiology.
  • See advances on biological systems which recapitulate normal GI tissue architecture and biology.
  • Discover how innovative analytic and sensor technologies are applied to culture systems to yield new insights into cell biology and physiology.
  • Leverage the latest research for your own investigative activities on GI disease pathophysiology.

Interested in submitting an abstract? Submit your abstract here by the Aug. 15 deadline for one of the following categories:

  • Bioengineered Approaches and New Technologies.
  • Organoid Models of GI Infection, Inflammation and Microbiome.
  • Organoid Models of GI Tumorigenesis and Cancer.
  • GI Development, Stem Cells and Cell Plasticity.
