To be published this winter, our new living guideline will provide comprehensive, patient-centered recommendations for the pharmacologic management of moderate-to-severe Crohn’s disease.
As part of our guideline development process, we invite you to review this draft guideline and share your feedback during the public comment period.
Guideline documents for review:
About the public comment period
AGA develops clinical practice guidelines using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) methodology. This methodology provides a common, sensible, and transparent approach to grading the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations. It uses the best practices outlined by the Institute of Medicine/National Academy of Medicine, the GRADE consortium, and the Guidelines International Network.
The public comment period is integral to AGA’s guideline development process. During this time, AGA members and other constituents can review and comment on draft guidelines and their accompanying supplemental materials. After the period ends, the guideline panel reviews all feedback received and develops a revised manuscript incorporating changes the guideline panel deems necessary. Revisions to the draft documents are at the panel’s discretion. However, the guideline panel considers all comments received during the public comment period.
