As part of the AGA Equity Project’s mission to combat racism and health disparities in GI, we are pleased to announce the launch of the GI Clinical Trialists Bootcamp: Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Applications for this cohort will be accepted through Nov. 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The GI Clinical Trialist Bootcamp will provide 10 weeks of comprehensive training through live virtual and on-demand education for gastroenterologists who identify with or treat patients from groups that are underrepresented in medicine (URiM). GIs in a practice setting – or practicing in a location with little to no existing infrastructure for clinical trials – are also eligible to participate.

Twenty-five practitioners from across the country will be selected to participate in this program and gain the knowledge and confidence to speak with patients about important clinical research. Participants will also have access to travel grants to visit an established clinical trial site.

If you’re interested in clinical research but don’t know where to begin, this program may be for you!

This program is supported by an educational grant from AbbVie Inc.; Amgen; Bristol-Myers Squibb Company; Genentech, a member of the Roche Group; Janssen Biotech, Inc., administered by Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC; and Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc., and a quality improvement grant from Pfizer Inc.
