The nomination period closes Oct. 2 for the 2024 AGA Governing Board and AGA Nominating Committee.
Put your stamp on the future of GI by joining the AGA Governing Board or AGA Nominating Committee. Participating as an AGA leader is a great way to influence AGA’s vision of ending the burden of digestive disease, developing leadership skills, and making new connections.
“We have lots of ways that you can get involved so that it complements your professional life, said AGA President-elect Maria Abreu. “What we can guarantee you is at the end of your time [serving in leadership] is that you have made new friends, that you’ve learned a lot and that you’ve done something for the field of gastroenterology.”
Maria T. Abreu, MD, AGAF
AGA President-elect
“My experience on the AGA Governing Board really has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career,” said AGA Vice President Larry Kim. “AGA really does recognize that the practice community is its largest constituency [and] is committed to meeting the needs of practicing gastroenterologists. But in order to do this, it needs to hear our voice through effective leaders such as yourself. So, I hope you will strongly consider applying for a position.”
Lawrence Kim, MD, AGAF
AGA Vice President
