A variety of travel awards are coming due next week. Prepare your applications for the awards below, offered by the AGA Research Foundation. Applications for all awards are due by Feb. 15, 2019.
- AGA Fellow Abstract Award: Thirteen $500 awards are available to clinical and postdoctoral fellows (i.e., not faculty) in North America who are the first or presenting author of an abstract selected by AGA for presentation at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2019. The top ranked abstract will be selected as Abstract of the Year and the recipient will receive a $1,000 prize. Support for this award by Rifat Pamukcu, MD, FAIMBE is gratefully acknowledged.
- AGA Student Abstract Award: This travel award provides $500 awards to graduate students, medical students or residents (residents up to postgraduate year three) in North America whose abstracts have been chosen by AGA to be presented at DDW 2019. The top ranked abstract will be selected as Abstract of the Year and the recipient will receive a $1,000 prize.
- AGA-Moti L. & Kamla Rustgi International Travel Awards: This award provides $750 to two basic, translational or clinical investigators younger than 35, residing outside of North America, to support their travel and related expenses to attend DDW and present an AGA-accepted abstract.
