From a new position to NIH funding, we’re excited to recognize these three AGA members on their impressive accomplishments, and we look forward to seeing what they do next.
Past AGA President Barbara Jung, MD, AGAF, is moving to La Jolla from the University of Washington, where she was serving as chair of medicine.
Folasade May, MD, PhD, MPhil, along with Dr. Beth Glenn, will use the grant to improve follow-up care for colorectal screening in underserved populations. The new study will focus on increasing follow-up care for underserved patients who receive abnormal results from stool-based fecal immunochemical tests (FIT).
Jana Al Hashash, MD, MSc, AGAF, chair of the AGA Clinical Practice Update Committee, was selected as one of six awardees from over 100 applicants submitted across the enterprise. The award will provide $50k in support.
