AGA runs on volunteers and it’s time to choose your leaders for the next year. Elections are now open for the 2023–2024 AGA Governing Board, Nominating Committee and AGA Institute Council Section leadership. The deadline to vote is April 24, 2023.

This year we are partnering with eBallot for our elections site. To log in, use the personalized link received on March 27 or visit the elections site and enter your credentials. This site and credentials are not associated with your MyAGA account.

AGA Nominating Committee members serve for one year and are responsible for selecting future officers and councillors for the AGA/AGA Institute as well as the members who are placed on the ballot for election to the AGA Nominating Committee for the following year. Governing Board councillors serve three-year terms. Two to three councillors are selected each year.

Eligibility: Active full and senior members only (domestic and international). Trainee and affiliate members are not eligible to vote. If you have any questions, please email Executive Office staff.

Submit your vote for the following positions:

  • Councillor, Basic Research
  • Councillor, Practice

  • Nominating Committee Early Career Research Member

AGA Institute Council section leaders serve for two years as section vice chair and two years as section chair. During their tenure, they organize and oversee AGA sessions at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) and are in charge of clinical and basic science programming initiatives. Section nominating committees are elected members who work during their election year to adjudicate nominees received by their section.

Section members: you can vote for the next vice chair and nominating committee members for section(s) in which you are affiliated. If you have any questions, please email council staff.
