Artificial intelligence and consumer technologies headline 2019 AGA Tech Summit

Registration is now open and early bird rates are in effect through Feb. 11, 2019.

Does artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning improve patient outcomes? Will ubiquitous consumer technologies that have emerged over the past decade provide opportunities to improve patient engagement and compliance? These will be among the key discussions taking place at the upcoming 2019 AGA Tech Summit on April 10-12, 2019, in San Francisco. Registration is now open and early bird rates are in effect through Feb. 11, 2019.

For the past decade, the AGA Tech Summit has been the place where physician innovators, clinicians, medical technology companies, regulatory agency representatives and venture capitalists converge to discuss and explore the latest in GI technology and innovation. Attendees gain a better understanding of how technological advances will impact GI practice and are provided with a unique venue that emphasizes networking and collaborating.

Other sessions include discussions on:

    • Innovative solutions in simulation-based training.
    • Current unmet needs and challenges in the field of interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
    • The challenges of achieving a viable endoscopic anti-reflux procedure.
    • Innovation in the next 10 years.

In addition, the Tech Summit will continue to hold popular programs for entrepreneurs/innovators: The AGA Shark Tank and the Entrepreneur/Innovator Package. A panel of experts will judge up to five Shark Tank participants who submit applications with the winner to receive an award and promotion of their innovation via AGA publications and social media. The fee-based Entrepreneur/Innovator Package provides participants one-on-one meetings with experts in the GI space to discuss specific questions or needs.
