AGA Undergraduate Research Awards

AGA’s Undergraduate Research Awards are dedicated to creating pathways for diverse GI investigators and are open to undergraduate students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in biomedical research, including racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. They provide 10-week or 10-month mentored research training experiences and can help undergraduates prepare for a successful career in GI research.

  • AGA-Aman Armaan Ahmed Family SURF for Success Program
Six students will have the opportunity to perform 10 weeks of research during the summer months under the mentor of their choosing. Recipients will receive a $6,200 stipend to offset living expenses for the summer. Past recipients are welcome to apply.

Please share this information with your networks and encourage eligible students to begin their applications at least two weeks prior to the Jan. 31, 2025 application deadline. You’ll help participants build transferable skills, enhance their resumes and open doors to future career opportunities.
