We’re supporting the American Medical Association (AMA)’s Physician Practice Information (PPI) survey, and we’re asking all AGA members who are selected to submit the requested data about physician practice expenses.

This brief survey will poll randomly selected practices and individual physicians on the number of weekly hours spent on direct patient care.

Practice costs are a key element of physician payment and much of this data has not been updated in the last 15 years.

It is critically important to update these data to ensure accurate payment.

What to expect if you or your practice are selected to participate:

  • Your practice will receive a notice by email from ppisurvey@mathematica-mpr.com if selected.

  • The survey packet will be sent via USPS priority mail packet from Mathematica, the consulting firm that is facilitating the survey. This will contains a link to the survey as well as supporting information.

  • Consult with your practice management colleagues and ask them to complete this important survey.

Be sure to complete the survey if you are selected – this is critical to ensure that practice expenses and patient care hours are accurately reflected.
