AGA is offering several sessions at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) 2025 for international attendees. Find details below for events held in partnership with international societies, plus sessions tailored for Spanish and Portuguese speakers. Attendees will learn about the latest advances from around the world on topics including digestive neoplasms, acute pancreatitis, IBD and more. AGA-KSG Joint Symposium on Digestive Neoplasms

Sunday, May 4, 2-3:30 p.m. PT

In this joint session from AGA and the Korean Society of Gastroenterology (KSG), global experts will share the latest advancements in the diagnosis and management of digestive neoplasms.

Marcia Cruz-Correa, MD, PhD, (Puerto Rico Medical Center, Puerto Rico), Ju Dong Yang, MD, PhD, (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USA), Il Ju Choi, MD, PhD, (National Cancer Center, South Korea), and Jin-Hyeok Hwang, MD, PhD, (Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, South Korea) will present on early detection, precision therapies, and the role of the microbiome in GI malignancies.

AGA has invited five experts in different fields to highlight selected abstracts presented at the meeting. Julio C. Bai (Universidad del Salvador; Buenos Aires, Argentina), Leticia Moreira (Hospital Clinic; Barcelona, Spain), José María Remes Troche (Universidad Veracruzana, México), Yamile Zabana (Hospital Universitari Mutua de Terrassa, Spain) and Juan Pablo Arab (Western University; Canada) will discuss practical and valuable information on celiac disease, oncology, functional diseases, IBD and liver diseases, respectively. This session will be conducted in Spanish.

Monday, May 5, 8-9:30 a.m. PT

Five renowned experts will be reviewing the best abstracts presented at the meeting on the microbiome, liver, celiac disease, IBD and more. This session will be conducted in Portuguese.

AGA-CSG Joint Session on Acute Pancreatitis

Tuesday, May 6, 8-9:30 a.m. PT

This session with the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology (CSG) will focus on the pathogenesis of acute pancreatitis from translational, clinical and population perspectives. Speakers Georgios Papachristou, MD, PhD (Ohio State University), Chengwei Tang, MD, (West China Hospital Sichuan University), Dhiraj Yadav, MD, MPH, (University of Pittsburg Medical Center) and Wen Li, MD, PhD, (Peking Union Medical College Hospital) will present their latest research results related to pancreatitis.
