Comment on the contest post on the respective platforms for a chance to win. AGA will “like” each post to confirm contest entry. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT on Feb. 9, 2023. No methods of entry other than the method specifically described herein will be accepted. The American Gastroenterological Association (“Sponsor”) is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries or unsuccessful attempts to enter. Incomplete entries and/or entries not received by the deadline will not be eligible. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, the prize will be awarded to the authorized account holder of the course registration. The “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person to whom the name belongs that is located in the course registration database. Sweepstakes begins at 9 a.m. EDT on Feb. 6, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Feb. 9, 2023.
ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON PER SOCIAL PLATFORM. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple or different identities or by any other method will void that participant’s entries, and that participant may be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Winners will receive ONE COURSE REGISTRATION (value of $425). Four winners will be selected: two per social media platform. Winners will be determined in a random drawing to be conducted on Feb. 10, 2023 from all eligible entries. All decisions of Sponsor regarding this Sweepstakes are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winners will be notified on social media. AGA will comp or refund for the winners’ registration for the course. If a prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such winner may be disqualified, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries in a similar random drawing. Upon disqualification, the prize will be forfeited and no compensation will be given.
The Sweepstakes is free to enter and open to residents 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and immediate family or those living in the same household as employees of the American Gastroenterological Association are ineligible to enter. By participating, entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, returned or unclaimed prizes that are sent to prize winners. Acceptance of any prize (or any portion thereof) constitutes the winner’s certification that s/he meets the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules. Prize acceptance also constitutes permission to use names, photographs and likeness of winner for purposes of advertising and promotion without additional notice, approval, consent or compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor and Sponsor’s agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives or prize providers may use the entrants’ personal information submitted with entry for purposes of prize fulfillment and/or for marketing, such as to notify the entrants of a product or promotion that may be of interest to them. By entering, entrants consent to such use of their personal information.
If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to, without limitation, errors in these Official Rules or advertising for this Sweepstakes, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, human error or any other cause beyond the control of Sponsor that, in the sole judgment of Sponsor, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. By entering, each entrant agrees at all times to defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless the American Gastroenterological Association its agencies, prize providers, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, owners, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, actions, liabilities, injuries, death, accidents, losses or damages of any kind resulting directly or indirectly from any and all activity related to entering and/or participating in this Sweepstakes or from the acceptance or use of any prize. The Released Parties (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize (or any portion thereof), (ii) disclaim any implied warranty and (iii) will not be responsible for adverse weather conditions, acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppages or any other natural disasters outside their control that may affect the winners’ ability to use the prizes (or any portion thereof). Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of such provision. In no event will more than one prize be awarded to one winner. Entries that are obtained through unauthorized sources are void. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
