Young Delegates Program
The AGA Young Delegates are a group of engaged early career GI professionals representing AGA on a variety of short-term initiatives.
Join the AGA Young Delegates
Want to get involved with AGA but not sure where to start or short on time? Join the AGA Young Delegates program. We’ll keep you apprised of new volunteer opportunities that require less time, or are “smaller asks” for participants, who already lead busy lives.
The only criteria is you must be an AGA member to join. Trainee membership is free for the first year, and we also offer low rates for additional fellowship years and early career GIs. Explore our member benefits for more information.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Here are some of the types of opportunities offered to Young Delegates:
- Review abstracts for DDW® session.
- Participate in a focus group.
- Review a new AGA program in advance of launch and provide your feedback.
- Media opportunities.
- Serve as a mentor.
- Provide topic ideas for AGA publications and podcasts.
“The Young Delegates program is a great way to start volunteering with the AGA. By completing short-term projects on a flexible schedule, you can make your voice heard and help shape a variety of AGA programs and initiatives.” – Peter Liang, Chair, AGA Trainee & Early Career Committee
