Learn more about AGA’s Member Networks and Allied Groups. These initiatives aim to enhance the professional networks of our membership while advancing our shared goals.

AGA is proud to introduce our Member Networks and Allied Groups, designed to increase community, collaboration, and innovation among organizations with shared interests in the gastroenterology and hepatology field.

AGA Member Networks

AGA Member Networks are informal groups of AGA members united by shared passions or interests. These networks organize under the AGA brand, adhering to our policies while contributing to the advancement of AGA’s mission.

We are proud to work with these networks of AGA members:

The Chinese American Gastroenterology Association (CAGA) promotes the advancement of Chinese American practitioners and researchers in gastroenterology and hepatology across North America. CAGA is committed to upholding excellence, integrity, diversity, innovation, and community engagement by fostering professional growth, collaboration, and measurable societal impact.

Latinos in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (La LiGaH) aims to cultivate community, increase access and advocate for Latino gastroenterologists, patients with GI and liver diseases, and their allies.

Women’s Executive Leadership Conference Alumni (WExLC) helps maximize the role of women in GI by leveraging relationships, strengthening mentoring, and identifying sponsorship opportunities to advance gender equity and opportunities for themselves and the burgeoning group of female gastroenterologists ascending through the ranks while growing their skills and knowledge of positive leadership; emotional intelligence; values-driven leadership and self-mastery.

The AGA Innovation Member Network aims to cultivate a dynamic community within AGA that drives innovation in gastroenterology by facilitating knowledge exchange, supporting translational research, and integrating emerging technologies into clinical practice.

AGA Allied Groups

AGA Allied Groups are external entities that, while independent of AGA’s brand and possibly holding distinct legal status, share mutual interests and partnership goals with us. These groups retain their branding and collaborate on agreed initiatives through tailored memoranda of understanding.

Groups that become allies of AGA are welcome to share their connection to us by placing this badge on their website and other materials.

We are proud to work with this Allied Group:

The Association of Black Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists (ABGH) is dedicated to advancing health equity and improving outcomes for Black communities affected by gastrointestinal and liver diseases. ABGH focuses on increasing representation and visibility of Black professionals in the field, addressing disparities through culturally responsive education, and building a supportive, intergenerational network of GI leaders. Through research, advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement, ABGH works to transform the GI landscape by centering Black voices, lived experiences, and leadership in every aspect of care and innovation.
