Bethesda, MD (Nov. 13, 2018) — The American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) announced a partnership with health care technology company SupportedPatientTM to facilitate the development of integrated models of care for community practices, that have little if any access to ancillary services including mental health, nutrition and pain management.

AGA recognizes the value of comprehensive care. The challenge for providers is incorporating these services into the care of their patients in an affordable way that minimizes disruption to clinic flow.

SupportedPatient is a HIPAA secure telemedicine platform that was designed to facilitate integrated care. With SupportedPatient, patients can schedule and see clinicians that are embedded into the practice’s cyber office, without the difficulties associated with hiring additional employees for these services. Different models even allow for revenue generation for the practice.

“At SupportedPatient, we are committed to enabling all providers to create ideal models of comprehensive care for their patients,” said Dr. Marci Reiss, CEO. “The AGA partnership helps us reach many community practices that are aspiring to offer better care for their patients.”
