The AGA Research Foundation is seeking a new chair to support the next generation of researchers.
As the charitable arm of the AGA Institute, the foundation is dedicated to excellence in research and offers more than $3 million annually to gifted investigators in GI and hepatology.
The foundation chair is a community leader who understands the challenges facing today’s researchers, recognizes the value of charitable giving on societal issues and advocates for the professional development of investigators at all career stages.
Our new chair will have a finger on the pulse of future directions in research and will help the foundation adapt to the shifting environment and rapid technological developments. Working closely with national staff, the chair will play a pivotal role in developing new fundraising campaigns and building collaborative relationships that will ensure the continued success of the foundation.
Does this sound like you? Apply by Nov. 20, 2020, at 5 p.m. EST to be considered for this position. All AGA members are eligible to apply. The selected candidate will serve as chair-elect starting in June 2021 and assume the three-year term of chair in June 2022.
