Authors no longer have to pay a submission fee to submit original research to Gastroenterology, AGA’s flagship journal. Previously, a $75 submission fee was required, regardless of acceptance outcome. In removing this financial barrier to submitting, journal editors hope to attract more high-quality submissions from authors and make it less burdensome for international authors to submit.
“Discontinuing this fee is an important step towards facilitating the submission of top work by authors from all backgrounds around the world,” said co-editor-in-chief David S. Weinberg, MD, MSc, AGAF.
Please note there is still a submission fee required for the Curbside Consult section.
