As you make your plans to attend Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) in Chicago, Illinois, don’t forget to apply for an AGA abstract award and receive funding to subsidize your travel expenses.

Thirteen $500 travel awards are available, in addition to one $1,000 award that will be given to the top-scoring “Fellow Abstract of the Year.” Applicants must be a clinical or postdoctoral fellow at an institution within North America, be a current AGA member and sponsored by an AGA member in good standing.
Thirteen $500 travel awards are available, in addition to one $1,000 award that will be given to the top scoring “Student Abstract of the Year.” Applicants must be graduate students, medical students or medical residents (no more than postgraduate year three) at an institution within North America who have performed original research related to diseases, structure or function of the digestive system. Applicants do not need to be AGA members but must be sponsored by an AGA member in good standing.
Two $750 travel awards are available to researchers working outside of North America who are fluent in English and hold an MD and/or PhD or equivalent degree (e.g. MB, ChB, MBBS, DO). Applicants must be current AGA early career members (no more than 35 years of age) and be sponsored by an AGA member in good standing.
