Have you dreamed of working with a renowned GI journal or team of scientific editors? Now’s your chance with the 2022-2023 AGA Editorial Fellowships!

We are now accepting applications for GI fellows who are interested in experiencing the day-to-day life of how research is selected for publication in an internationally recognized journal. Under the mentorship of an AGA journal editor, fellows receive a 360-degree view of the publishing process and obtain the skills needed for long-term success in the field of scientific publishing.

Ten fellows — two for each of our journals Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CGH), Cellular and Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CMGH), Techniques and Innovations in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TIGE) and Gastro Hep Advances (GHA) — will be selected for this unique opportunity.

Why should you become an AGA Editorial Fellow?

  • Get practical, hands-on experience during every stage of the publishing process from submission to post-publication promotion.
  • Identify the qualities of effective manuscripts by critically reviewing manuscripts and publish up to two contributions in an AGA journal.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the roles of an editor, reviewer and publisher by shadowing an AGA editor and attending the virtual board of editors’ meeting at DDW® 2022.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to best practices in scientific publishing.

Be part of AGA Giving Day and help the AGA Research Foundation foster and support the careers of underrepresented researchers. Donate now through Oct. 26.

AGA grants supported by Giving Day will help spark diverse students’ interest in GI research careers and launch underrepresented investigators’ academic research careers.
