AGA has released a new Clinical Practice Update providing 12 best practice advice statements on the management of refractory Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori). The likelihood of successful H. pylori eradication decreases with each subsequent therapeutic attempt. This guidance provides an overview of current H. pylori eradication treatment failure determinants and leverages data to provide you with evidence- and consensus-based multimodal advice for treating H. pylori after the first treatment failure.

Read the full list of best practice advice statements from the AGA Clinical Practice Update on Management of Helicobacter Pylori: Expert Review. In the short video below, lead author Shailja Shah, MD, MPH, from the VA San Diego Healthcare System and University of California, San Diego shares her key points of clinical management of these patients.
