AGA was thrilled to host our newest classes of AGA Future Leaders and FORWARD Scholars for a joint program kick-off meeting this past weekend. The event included presentations from AGA leaders, networking, and meetings between participants and mentors to discuss the projects they will work on during the program. AGA Future Leaders Program
The Future Leaders Program positions early career GIs on a track to impact the organization and the field. The program curriculum empowers participants with purposeful opportunities to network, connect with mentors, develop leadership skills, and learn about AGA’s governance and operations while advancing their careers and supporting the profession.
AGA FORWARD Program
The FORWARD Program, an AGA leadership pathway, prepares physician-scientists from underrepresented populations for a successful career in academic medicine with leadership development, research and management skills training from top GI investigators, and a new network of peers and leaders from underrepresented populations to learn from.
